Our Team of Leaders

A Message from the Superintendent

Welcome to LWIS-AiS, the First LWIS school in Lebanon that was established in 1997.

The school showed tremendous improvement over the year and continues to do so as a result of six key factors:

  1. An extensive and inclusive strategic plan whereby every member of the school community is involved in assessment, planning, and implementation
  2. The presence of leadership density where the uniqueness of each staff member/teacher is recognized and is utilized as an added value for the school
  3. Adopting international standards that are evident by offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP), being accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), and being a member of the Mediterranean Association of International School (MAIS)
  4. Embracing the concept of continuous improvement and offering comprehensive professional development based on learners’ needs and the school’s guiding statements
  5. Expanding the Board of Trustees to represent all stakeholders
  6. Making Peace Education a Way of Life

As a result of these factors, the wellbeing of learners becomes a priority, and LWIS-AiS graduates become effective leaders, high achievers, critical and creative thinkers, and positive change agents. After all, we measure success one happy learner at a time.

Warm regards,

Dr. Nabil

A Message from the School Principal

Welcome to a journey of academic excellence. LWIS-AiS has been accredited by NEASC since 2009. The school provides students the opportunity to learn at least English, Arabic, and French while utilizing English as the language of instruction. LWIS-AiS offers the American High School Diploma in addition to the Lebanese Program. Furthermore, it became an authorized International Baccalaureate World School for the Diploma Programme on May, 2019. We believe every child has the right to learn and is capable of learning. We employ diverse strategies of teaching and assessment to ensure that we support challenged students and enrich gifted ones.

LWIS-AiS ensures that attitudes, actions, and values of all learners are guided by PACER values (Perseverance, Agility, Clarity, Empathy, and Respect), the 3 S’s (Stay positive, Stop complaining, and Seek solutions) and the NEST approach (Negotiation, Engagement, Support, and Tolerance). I invite you to join our journey and discover how we measure success one happy learner at a time.

Warm Regards,

Mr. Alex

Principal
